More Stillbirth in "Older" Women

Ahem. This is not a post about how old one has to be to be labeled "older," but I would like to mention that I don't think 40 is old, okay? So I have that over with. You know. I'm 39 now. So 40? Is just getting started. Now then. The topic at hand. The news reported. Though not good news itself, it is good to see actual research on the topic.
Pregnancy at age 40 and beyond is an independent risk factor for intrauterine fetal demise or stillbirth, according to an abstract presented by Yale School of Medicine researchers at the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Conference February 10 in San Francisco.

ScienceDaily: Increased Risk Of Stillbirth In Older Pregnant Women

Troubling, though, how the words "intrauterine fetal demise" still come so easily to the scientific community. No matter how much you try to hide it, folks, it still means "dead baby." Try to get a handle on that, will you? It will go a long ways toward convincing us that y'all are human beings.

Blessings on all y'all human beings.
